2024 IAGC Conference
30 Years of Talent Development: Cultivating Pearls of Potential

Do you have ideas and expertise to challenge, inspire, and empower advanced learners on their educational journeys? We invite you to submit a presentation proposal for the IAGC 29th Annual Conference, held at NIU Naperville on October 27 & 28, 2025!!
This year’s conference theme is: 30 Years of Talent Development: Cultivating Pearls of Potential
Proposals are due by midnight on April 9, 2025.
The IAGC is excited to celebrate the hundreds of past presenters, attendees, and dedicated educators and parents who work with passion and dedication to discover and develop talent among the children in Illinois. This year's conference, which will be held on Monday October 27 and Tuesday October 28, returning once again to the beautiful NIU Convention Center in Naperville IL.
We begin by inviting new and returning teachers, coordinators, and speakers to submit a proposal to present. Every year the IAGC Conference presenters are the cornerstone of this multi-day event, providing new research and implication for schools, practical application of curriculum and instruction, creative ideas to engage more students, and a passion for expanding advanced learning opportunities across Illinois.

By submitting a proposal you agree to present on either Monday or Tuesday, as assigned.
CONFERENCE STRANDS
We are looking for session ideas with respect to the following areas:
Sessions should be approximately 60 mins. in length.
Proposal due date: April 9, 2025
Confirmations will be sent by May 9, 2025.
The LEAD PRESENTER for accepted proposals will be provided a 1-day Presenter Ticket at a discounted presenter rate, and the option to purchase a 2nd day ticket, also at a discounted attendee rate (for a limited time only).

The following criteria will be considered as part of our rubric for presentation reviewers:
Topics should align with the IAGC mission and priorities:
IAGC MISSION: The Illinois Association for Gifted Children empowers educators, families and communities by advancing effective practices, programs and policies to promote the development of gifted and talented children throughout Illinois.
IAGC GOALS & PRIORITIES:
- To advocate for all children with gifts, talents, and advanced learning needs.
- To increase understanding throughout Illinois regarding topics that impact children with gifts, talents, and advanced learning needs.
- To engage and empower families and communities to support the needs of children with gifts, talents, and advanced learning needs.
- To champion inclusive access to advanced learning programs and services, equitable learning opportunities, and diverse demonstration of excellence, so all children may develop their talents and fulfill their potential.
- To support educators and schools in aligning professional practice with NAGC standards.
- To provide opportunities for professional learning related to all children with gifts, talents, and advanced learning needs.
