IAGC Sábado para padres

Thank you for being a part of our mission to support children with advanced learning needs from all cultures and backgrounds throughout Illinois.

What is Sábado Para Padres?

IAGC is a powerful advocate for gifted and talented children in the state of Illinois, providing programs for educators, advancing best practices, and supporting policies that improve gifted education programs.

This year, the IAGC board of directors hopes to provide a more equitable experience for Spanish-speaking families of multilingual gifted and advanced students. As an underserved population, these students and their parents are often unaware of the programs, policies, and opportunities for gifted and talented students simply because this information is not readily available or shared with Spanish-speaking families. By including a parent strand specifically for Spanish speaking families, the IAGC hopes to further its mission of advocacy for all advanced learners and overcome some of the obstacles non-English speakers face as they guide their child to academic and life success.

Through corporate donations, the IAGC will serve Spanish-speaking attendees who might have been previously unable to access the benefits of  IAGC Parent Saturday resources.

The Illinois Association for Gifted Children is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
