What can the iagc do for you?

What the IAGC can do:
  • Provide information on a variety of theories and best-practice strategies relating to gifted education, characteristics of gifted children, and alignment of needs and resources through conferences, meet-ups, newsletters
  • Provide Parent Support and Networking Opportunities relating to raising gifted children
  • Provide updated information on State and Federal education policy relating to advanced learners
  • Collaborate with parents and other stakeholders to advocate for policy changes to support advanced learner needs
  • Provide potential resources for enrichment, engagement, and social interaction 
  • Connect families to resources that may be able to provide evaluative services, though we do not endorse any particular organization or service
What the IAGC does NOT do:
  • Provide diagnostic or testing services to evaluate intelligence, ability, placement, or other areas of learning readiness
  • Provide school, district, or program recommendations for an individual child
  • Provide legal, psychological, academic, or medical advice or counsel
  • Provide individual advocacy in relation to a particular student and their academic, SEL, or legal concerns
  • Provide an evaluation or criticism of any particular schools, districts, programs, or curriculum on behalf of a student, parent, or group
  • Provide gifted education services, classes, or gifted education curriculum to students.
